Sarah Bentz joined the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships in 2011. She received her Master’s in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University in 2009. Sarah received her License as a Professional Counselor in 2011. Sarah’s background includes 17 years in early childhood education, 6 of which were as an administrator. She has conducted numerous workshops and classes on a variety of subjects. Sarah has been a leader of women’s ministries for many years. She has been in private practice since 2009. She worked for Birdville ISD as a crisis counselor during her internship as well as leading women’s and adolescent groups for Sundance Behavioral Hospital as a PRN therapist.
Using a variety of techniques, Sarah focuses on the client’s current concerns and past experiences to guide clients to healing. She leads clients into recognizing areas of negative thinking and behavior that hinder their lives and relationship
Sarah specializes in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma or sexual abuse and helping parents of children who have been diagnosed with ADHD. She also works with adolescents and adults with issues regarding: anger management, anxiety, couples/marital issues, depression, grief/loss, parenting, pre-marital, PTSD/Trauma, self-esteem and spirituality issues.
